Your tasks

  • Develop, operate, and continuously improvestable, scalable, and secure backend services following the “You build it, you run it” principle
  • Ensure high codequality, maintainability, and technical excellence through refactoring, reviews, and engineering best practices
  • Evolve backend architectures with a focus on performance, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency
  • Build and maintain CI/CD, deployment, and automation pipelines, as well as comprehensive testing strategies
  • Leverage Generative AI and AI-assisted engineering tools for development, documentation, testing, and optimization
  • Enhance observability through logging, monitoring, and tracing while ensuring the availability and resilience of production systems
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Frontend, App, BI, and Platform teams and contribute to technical standards, documentation, and knowledge sharing

Your profile

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong programming skills in at least one backend language: PHP. Node.js, or Go optionally. Including experience with APIs and integrations 
  • Solid understanding of modern software and backend architectures, ideally within cloud-native environments (AWS, Kubernetes)  
  • Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and operating and monitoring production systems  
  • Knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, caching technologies, and secure software development practices (e.g., OWASP)  
  • Hands-on experience with AI-augmented engineering and an interest in Generative AI and agentic AI approaches  
  • Strong communication skills, a proactive and analytical mindset and good German & English language skills
